MR H. £. HERRING NOMINATED. FOB SEAT ON THE BOARD. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr 11. E. Herring, M.P. for MidCanterbury, has been nominated for a seat o ntlie Lincoln College Board of Governors as representative of members of the Legislature in Canterbury. It is understood that Mr Herring is supported by every eligible member of both Upper and Lower Houses. In a statement to-day, Mr Herring said: “I will render all assistance to the work of the board in its endeavour to bring the college into line with modern ideas, obtain finance for this, and thus make the institution what .it was originally intended to be—the central agricultural instructional Centre of the Sopth Island. ’’
