AIR-MAIL SERVICE.
A DELAY IN AUSTRALIA. QUESTION OF LANDING PLACES. (■United Press Association—, Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Canberra correspondent of the “Sydney Morning Herald” says that unless tho Commonwealth Government agrees to provide temporary landing places for flying-boats there is no hope of the air-mail service between Britain and Australia starting before the middle of 1938. The advent of the wet season in the north *makes it impossible to start construction of the bases until the end of March, and it will be at least three months later before they are finished.
