The Government ordnance factory at Maribynong is preparing to begin the manufacture of the new British anti-aircraft gun about which, according to cable messages, there has been great secrecy in Britain. A London cablegram dated November 13 stated: The newspapers are unable to penetrate the veil of secrecy surrounding Britain’s new anti-aircraft gun, which for the first time was revealed in a guarded, written reply in the House of Commons to. Mr Warrencler, baldly announcing the perfection of the gun. It is understood that the military authorities are satisfied, alter years of research and huge expenditure that the gun will prove effective against all* raids.
