FIELD OF WATERLOO.
QUESTION OF PRESERVATION. (United Press Association —Copyright.) LONDON, February 24. The Brussels correspondent of “The Times” says that the question of the preservation of the battlefield of TV aterloo is causing concern in British and Belgian circles. Belgium in 1914 introduced legislation to prevent encroachment on the battlefield, but the provincial authorities now' propose roadworks which which alter the appearance of the area adjacent to the mound on which the famous Lion of TVaterloo stands.
The British Ambassador has sent to the Minister a letter urging action to “protect one of the most intciesting points of the battlefield.”
