RESCUE OF GIRLS.
MISSIONARIES BEATEN IN JAPAN (United Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) TOKIO, February 25. Five English women, missionaries in Higashikozu, a village near Osaka, who were sheltering two girls who had escaped from a disorderly house, were attacked by the proprietor of the house and three'other men. Armed, with sticks the men attempted to recapture the girls, and they beat the two missionaries until they were unconscious. The police arrested two of the attackers.
