COLLAPSE AT BANQUET
MR RAMSAY MACDONALD. ASSISTED FROM GUILDHALL. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, November 9. Mr J. Ramsay MacDonald collapsed during the Lord Mayor’s banquet at the Guildhall, and was assisted from the hall. He is being attended by Lord Dawson. Mr MacDonald’s daughter, Ishbel, who was sitting next to him, helped! her father from the hall to an alcove, where he rested 10 minutes, and whereafter went home in a car, looking pale but smiling. Mr MacDonald went to his home at Hampstead and retired to bed. His family stated that he had been overcome by the heat at the Guildhall, which was more 'crowded than usual.
