BOWLING.
THE RAKAIA CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the Rakaia Bowling Club was held recently, the president (Mr C. Garrigan) presiding. Messrs A. Crossley and C. Shannon were appointed delegates to the annual meeting of the Rakaia Health Stamp Campaign. Mr F. McAnulty’s tender for the position of greenkeeper was accepted. It was decided to open the season on October 10. Messrs J. Bell, A. S. Anderson, and D. Newman were elected honorary members. , The president reported that at a meeting of ladies, held recently, it was decided to form a women’s club. The women were granted permission to use the men’s green when the rinks were available.
