Twenty thousand more workers have struck, bringing the total number of idlers in Belgium to 400,000. ' A determined but futile effort was made to induce translmrt workers in the Belgian bacli-coluntry to join the strike. Troops at Leige occupied many factories in order to prevent sabotage. Strikers are holding up travellers’ cars, demanding contributions to the strike funds. BOMBS THROWN AT BARCELONA. EXTENSION OF THE STOPPAGES. (Received This Day, 12.50 9.111.) BARCELONA, June 18. Office and store employees, accountants and waiters have struck. Many shopshave been closed. The newspapers lack staffs. The food supply is assured. Several: bombs were thrown, without effect.
