WIN FOR AUSTRALIA. AN INNINGS AND 144 RUNS. (Received This Dav, 10.35 a.m.) PORT ELIZABETH, January 8. Australia, won the cricket match by an innings and 144 runs. The Australian tail-enders made merry before* the innings closed, after 285 minutes. Davis bowled excellently, his performance being recognised by the selectors, and he is almost certain to he nominated: for the test. The Africans’ second innings wis just a procession after Bennett and Robson had appeared to master the opening attack.
