IMPERIAL CONFERENCE RESULTS DELEGATES MOST SATISFIED. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, January 8. It is considered certain that Australia will he invited to send a Rugby Union team to Britain in 1939 or 1940. The Australian, South African and New Zealand delegates are most satisfied with, the results of the Impelial Rugby Conference and they are confident that the International Board will grant a number of dispensations.. MATCHES IN ENGLAND. (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, January 8. At Rugby, the Royal Navy defeated Bristol by 6 points to nil. In the County Hampshire defeated Surrey by 5 points to 3. _ _ Northern Union —Swinton defeated Streatham-Mitcham by 21 to 6, Leeds defeated Wakefield by 8 to 7, when the match was abandoned after 25 minutes owing to heavy rain and bad light.
