BOWLING.
THE ASHBURTON CLUB. PAIRS TOURNAMENT HELD. A progressive pairs tournament was held by the Ashburton Bowling Club yesterday. The winning skip was AV. R. Lane', with four wins, F. M. Steel being second with three and a half. After tying in the leads with three wins each, J. AV. Bowden and P. Dunn played off, Dunn winning. F. Self and D. Gilmour tied as run-ners-up, with two and a half each.
