FANCY DRESS

CHILDREN GATHER AT METHVEN AN OUTSTANDING SUCCESS. MANY EXCELLENT COSTUMES. The Methven Town Hall was the scene of gaiety last evening when the Methven sub-branch of the Plunket Society held a children’s fancy dress ball in aid of its funds. There was a very large attendance of children and their parents and 'friends, and the function was most successful in every way. The judge, Mr -W. J. Simpson, of Tinwald, had an unenviable task, hut his decisions gave every satisfaction. Among those present' Were Mrs Seldon (president), Mesdames Robinson and J. R.
