APPEAL DISMISSED
SEQUEL TO PERJURY CASE. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, October 18. On September 29 tbe Court of Appear heard am appeal brought on behalf of John Black Batchelor, against a judgment by All - Justice Johnston in refusing to state for the opinion of tbe Court of Appeal certain questions of law arising out of his trial at Christchurch in February, 1934, on a charge of perjury and other charges.
The Court to-day unanimously dismissed the appeal, on the ground that the original application was out of time in that it had n'ot been made till long after the trial was completed.
