NEW INSTRUMENTS FOR BAND.
PRESENTATION AND DEDICATION
The Ashburton Salvation Army Band, which recently procured a new set of instruments, has arranged a special programme for the week-end, when Lieutenant-Commissioner F. H. Adams and Mrs Adams (territorial commanders for New Zealand) and other prominent officers will take part in the dedication and presentation of the instruments.
The dedicatory service will be held to-morrow morning, and the instruments will be presented by the Commissioner at a meeting in St. Andrew’s Hall in th 6 afternoon. A special service has been arranged for the evening, and a musical festival, when the bandsmen will play the new instruments, will take place on Monday eVening;' ‘ ,
