SPORTS ATTRACTIONS.
FIXTURES FOR TO-MORROW. A number of representative matches will bo played by Ashburton teams tomorrow, but not all at Ashburton. The Mid-Canterbury Men’s Hockey Sub-Association will send two senior representative teams to Timaru to play South Canterbury. B and C representative women’s hockey teams will meet Malvern teams in Ashburton. The Ashburton Rugby Union has arranged a seven-a-side tournament at the Showgrounds. Twenty-six teams will be taking part in the three grades. The Tinwald Cycling Club’s 30-mile road race will take place over five laps of the Wakanui block to-morrow afternoon.
The Ashburton County miniature rifle championships will be decided tomorrow.
Members of the Ashburton Golf Club will play a bogey match.
