McKay, 5 and 4. McKay was slightly unwell. W. Rymill beat H. Payne, 7 and G. L. Duffy beat J. Barkel, 7 and 6. S. Morpeth beat S. Dalrymple, 2 and H. W. Hattersley beat W. .Edgar, 4 and 3. H., Wright beat A. McLachlan, 4 and 3.
A. Jackson beat M. Ryan, 3 and 2. R. 'Crook beat L. Toms, 2 and 1. In the first round of match play for the professional championship results were: — . < V. Richardson beat M. Spicer, 10 and 8. ~ F.
