BOXING.
PURCELL DEFEATS JONES. SYDNEY, August 26. At the Stadium to-night, in a 15 rounds bout, Jimmy Purcell (10.3) outpointed the American coloured boxer, Tommy Jones (10.6). Purcell was down in the fourteenth round for four, but won comfortably.
