THE METHVEN CLUB. At the usual shoot of the Methven. Miniature Rifle Club the club trophy was fired for, and was won by lv. Cleeve, who registered his second ivm, thus winning tlie trophy outright, lire best scores were: R. Cleeve 66 (hep J), 66; W. Lumsden 68 (3), 66; J-Bouse, 67 (4) 65; J. E. Carr 69 (1), 67; W. THE MOUNT SOMERS CLUB. At an extra niglit shoot held by the Mount Somers Miniature Rifle Club on Thursday the best scores off the rifle .were: H. Morgan 79, 74; L. Hood 79, 71; K. (Dunbar 79, 78; W. Morgan 78; G. Morgan 78; Miss K. Bland /6, 72 ; G. Bland 75. • The following team was picked to shoot with Methven for the Ashburton County Shield on Saturday at Methyen: K. Dunbar, G. A. Bland, J. Gorrie, Miss K. Bland, W. Morgan, L. Hood, G. Bland, H. Morgan, H. Hood, H. Ross, F. Cornwell and G. Morgan. Arrangements have been made to hold a ball to mark the official opening of the new range on September 6.
