FIRE DAMAGES BRIDGE
MINERS UNABLE TO CROSS
LIVERPOOL MINE IDLE. (Per Press Association). GREYMOUTH, This Day. A fire on a small railway bridge near Rewanui this morning caused serious damage, making the bridge unsafe for traffic. Miners could not pass, and the Liverpool mine is thus idle to-day. Temporary repairs have been effected to the bridge, and traffic will be resumed to-day. The origin of the fire is not known.
