ADVERTISING THE DOMINION. (Ter Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The New Zealand Olympic and Empire Games Association, extending best wishes to the All Black Rugby team, says: "We trust we will not be considered presumptuous if we heartily endorse the suggestions that have been made recently that. New Zealand should replace the somewhat misleading pseudonym All Black. Quite apart from the desirability of identifying the national team by the name of its country, we feel that advantage should be taken of the tours by national teams to advertise our little country as much as possible. Ve feel certain that the importance of so doing will commend itself to you and the members of your team.” The letter was addressed to the manager of the team (Mr V. R. Meredith).

DEPARTURE TO-MORROW

WELLINGTON’S CIVIC FAREWELL

WELLINGTON, July 29. About 1200 citizens joined m the civic farewell to the All Blacks at the Wellington Town Hall to-day. The Mayor (Mr T. C. A. Hislop) introduced the members of the team individually to the audience. Mr M. F. Luckie, on behalf of the cricketers of the Dominion, joined with the Mayor in wishing the team success. Mr V. R. Meredith (manager of the team) and Mr J. E. Manchester (captain) replied. Earlier, the team andi Rugby Union officials were the guests at afternoon tea of I the Acting-Prime Minister (Sir Alfred Ransom) in his office at Parliament House. Other Ministers present were Sir Alexander Young, the Hon. O. E. Macmillan and the Hon. J. Kitchener.

To-night the members of the team were present at a ball given by Wellington College old boys in honour of D. S. Sadler.

The team will depart on Wednesday. Several of the players are still suffering from injuries.
