APPEAL TO THE PRESIDENT. (United Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 26. In reply to a letter signed by 46 Senators, .requesting that he press the Silver Purchase Law enthusiastically until the price of the metal has reached 129 cents an ounce President Roosevelt replied that he was complying with the broad objectives of the Act, those of attaining the wider monetary use of silver in a manner most advantageous to the public interest.”
