SPORTS ATTRACTIONS.
FIXTURES FOR TO-MORROW.
AN EXTENSIVE PROGRAMME!. Ashburton sportsmen will find plenty to interest them in the extensive programme of fixtures arranged for tomorrow. In the absence of the Ashburton Rugby Union’s senior representative team on tour, other senior players will take part in a Town V. Country match at the Showgrounds. Lower grade competition matches will he continued. To supplement its touring fund, the Ashburton' Women's Hockey Association has organised a special effort in the Domain. There will be a wheelbarrow race and then a match, Hinds v. a selected team, will be staged on the Oval. The curtain-raiser will be between Tinwald and) Lowcliffe.
Men’s hockey competitions will be continued at Wakanui and Ashburton.
The Canterbury Basketball Association will send two representative teams to Ashburton to meet the Ashburton senior and junior combinations in the Domain, and fast, bright play is promised. The first qualifying round of the Ashburton Golf Club's championships will be played on the links to-morrow.
