TECHNICAL TEAMS AT METHVEN FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL. ■ A football team from the Ashburton Technical High School visited Methven yesterday and played a match against the Methven District High School. The match was-watched by a fair attendance of spectators, and resulted in a win for Methven by 14 points to 6. For Methven, tries were scored by H. Reid, L. Ayers and C. Henderson, and Reid converted one try and kicked a goal from a free-kick. Scorers for Technical were D. McKay and A. McCall. Mr A. R. Gourlay was the referee.

In basketball, Ashburton beat Metliven by 20 points tu> 17.
