BASKETBALL.
CLUB AT WINCHMORE. In view of starting a basketball club in the district, a, meeting was, held in the "VVinchmore Hall on Saturday afternoon. Mr F. A. Scott presided. A committee was elected as follows: — Miss M. Wakelin (secretary), Misses M. Hanrahan, K. Scott, M. McKendry, G. Shearer," D. King and M. Bland. Miss G. Shearer was elected captain and Miss K. Scott vice-captain. Arrangements were made to hold a working bee next Saturday afternoon to prepare the grounds.
