HOCKEY.
DRAW FOR MEN'S MATCHES, ENTRIES FOR COMPETITIONS. A meeting of the Draw Committee of the Mid-Canterbury Men's Hockey Sub-Association was held on Wednesday, Mr B. M. Cassidy presiding. An invitation from the Malvern Hockey Sub-Association to send two teams to Greendale on May. 25' was referred to the management committee for favourable consideration. Four senior entries and one junior entry were received for the association's competitions. . The senior competition will be opened to-morrow, the draw being as follows : St. Stephen's y. St. Andrew's at 1.45 p.m.; Ashburton v. Baring Square, at 3 p.m. Further matches are:—. May 4—St. Andrew's y. Baring Square, at 1.45 p/fm.; St. Stephen's v. Baring Square, at 3 p.m. Referees for to-morrow are Messrs W. B. Thomas and S. W. Gower.
WOMEN'S MATCHES. TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW. The following will represent their respective hockey clubs in women's matches to-morrow : Tinwaid. Against Hinds, at Tinwaid —V. Harris, E. Hampton, A. Loach, S.
