FEWER HORSES.
DROP IN BRITAIN INDECADE (United Press Association— Copyright). LONDON, April 24. A horse census taken in Britain reveals that the number dropped onethird in a decade, though thoroughbreds increased from 16,990 to 17,423. There has been a decline of sixty per cent in heavy and light van horses, in 1924 numbered 1,875,215, compared with 1,246,048 in 1934.
