ATHLETICS. RELAY RACE IN FRANCE. ENGLISH UNIVERSITIES WIN. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Receieved This Day, 10.5 a.m.) PARIS, March 24. University Athletic Union won the 15£-mile relay race round Paris by 300 yards. The time was 1 hour 51 2-5 seconds. Stade Francais was second, and St. Gillois Union (Brussels) third, and Berne Union fourth.

Twenty-six teams of 50 men each competed. J. E. Lovelock (New Zealand) ran in the first lap. University and Stade raced neck and neck from the third lap until the Englishmen drew away and won comfortably. Lovelock was in good form, and took and maintained the lead without effort.
