LOCAL BODIES CONFER. :Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, March 24. A conference of representatives of 35 cities and boroughs of the 39 comprising the New Zealand Municipal Electric Supply Association, was held on Saturday. Mr T. C. A. Hislop, Mayor of Wellington, presided. The business was in committee, but it was later announced that resolutions had been passed on the subject of the bulk supply of electricity for submission to .the Government*. It is understood that these will state accurately the attitude of the Municipal Supply authorities to the Government and the power boards. Mi;. C. O. Morse, Mayor of Napier, was elected president, and the Mayors of Palmerston North and Wellington vice-presidents. The executive will consist of representatives of Invercargil, Thames, Nelson, Timaru, Christchurch and Palmerston North.
