ENGAGEMENT BROKEN

AVIATOR AND ACTRESS. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, March 12. The engagement between T. Campbell Black, the aviator, and Miss Florence Desmond, the actress, has been Terminated by mutual consent. Miss Desmond says she intends to resign from the directorate of Campbell Black Aviation, Ltd., the formation of which was announced the other day. The engagement was announced in the presence of C. W. A. Scott and ether friends in Miss Desmond's dress-ing-room at the Palace. Theatre, where she is appearing in the Streamline Revue. Miss Desmond returned to tihe stage after their healths had been honoured. The marriage, it is expected, will take I)lace in April. The engagement took place in December, shortly after Black's return to England with'C. W. A. Scott, whom he accompanied on the winning flight in the Melbourne Air RSce.
