ASHBURTON V. METHVEN. A friendly game was played between teams from the Methven and Ashburton Bowling Clubs at Methven on Saturday, resulting in a win for Methven by 75 points to 71 points. Methven also won the colts’ rink by 27 points to 18 points. Details of the play are as follows, Ashburton names being given first:— W. J. Colts—Thomas, Gilmour, Dakeis, P. Dunn (s) 18, Booth, Grigg, Frew, Mangin (s) 27. RAKAIA CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Final results in the Rakaia Bowling Club’s championships this season are: Rinks—R. Breach, J. Heeney, W. Palmer and G. Tatterson. (s) beat C. Garrigan, H. A. Harrison, W. Black, and D. Newman (s). 'Doubles—A. S. Henderson and W. Palmer (s) beat H. A. Harrison and A. Holmes (s). Singles—R. Tatterson beat A. Holmes.
