NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. TWO RECORDS BROKEN. WANGANUI, March 9. The New- Zealand amateur athletic championships were completed to-day at Cooks Gardens in fine weather. There was a large attendance. After one break they got away well, and Evans was overhauled by Kerr at the half way, with Black commencing to move up and Bainbridge also handy. Before they entered the final stages Cooper had lapped A. H. Wayman and' came on to win by more than 70 yards from his team mate, Atton who nearly lapped Wayman.
