INTERNATIONAL RUGBY, IRELAND DEFEATS WALES. BELFAST, March 9. Before 30,006 spectators in bright but cold weather, and on a perfect ground, Ireland defeated V ales by nine points to three. •Ireland won. a great Rugby victory over Wales, scoring two penalty goals and one try to one penalty goal, though she had to play a man short most of the game, O’Connor retiring early with a dislocated shoulder. Ireland leads in the international championship. If; Scotland beats England next week, Ireland will win the championship for the first time since 1898.
