MATTER OF TOKEN PAYMENT. I THE ATTITUDE OF BRITAIN. (United Press Association —CopyiigO 1 -)- LONDON, May 30. It is understood that following a meeting of the Cabinet to-day a Note will shortly be dispatched to President Roosevelt proposing a further token payment on June 15, pending fina. settlement of the war debts question. Assurances will be soriglit that the token will not be construed as default. It is likely that if the United States regards the token as default Britain will pay nothing, but there lias been no finality pending further conversations with Washington.
