SYNTHETIC WOOL.
MANUFACTURE IN GERMANY. DIFFICULTIES OVERCOME. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.50 p.m.) FREMANTLE, This Day. Mr Frank. Watson, a Continental buyer for Melbourne , textile merchants and shippers, on returning from England, described the recent progress in Europe in the manufacture of synthetic textiles. He said: "A sample of merino synthetic wool shown me by a German caused me more alarm than the riots Vof Paris. The appearance and handle were perfect. The wool possesses many qualities which previously the manufacturer of synthetic wool has been unable to produce, but apparently those difficulties have been overcome."
