THE METHVEN CLUB. The Methven Golf Club played an.lß- - stroke handicap match, ladies and men, at the Mount Harding links on -Saturday. The ladies received one stroke a hole handicap. The men won by 6 games to 4. Details are: , Miss C. Holmes beat D. M. Christie, Mrs 4. White lost to R. G. Gerard, Mrs Lawrence lost to H- Fryer, Miss N Holmes beat G. Waddmgton, Miss M. Campbell lost to A. D. Norris, Mrs K. Aitken lost to R. Jack, Mrs M. Stone lost to J. Temple, Mrs D M. Christie lost to Dr. D. G. Wallace, Miss M. Todhunter beat A S. Kennedy, Miss Ngaire Campbell beat K. Fryer.
