THE METHVEN TROTTING CLUB.

DECISIONS OF THE COMMITTEE. A meting of the committee of the Methven Trotting Club was held last Monday evening, Mr S. G. Holmes presiding 'over a full attendance. Mr W. S. Jones tendered his resignation as a member of the committee, owing to his departure from the district. Mr Holmes referred to the valuable services Mr Jones had rendered to the Club, during a number of year,? and expressed regret his departure, wishing him success in the future. Ine resignation was accepted, and it was" decided to co-operate with the Methven Agricultural and Pastoral Association in tendering a farewell social" fp- Mr Jones. „ , The N.Z. Trotting Conference advised that the Club's application for September 29 for the next trotting meeting had been approved. * The appointment of a delegate to the annual Trotting Conference was nerd over until after the annual meeting. _ The New Zealand Conference advised that the Club's application for an extra, permit had been referred to the dates committee. It was arranged that the track committee ocnfer.with the caretaker on ttucourse, with reference to having the inside track put in order. . The grounds committee was authorised to purchase 12 new trestles, and the secretary was authorised to arrange for repairs to the buildings.
