OBITUARY.
MRS A. B. C. WILLS. Mrs A B.C. Wills, who died at her residence, Short Street, yesterday was one of the original pupils enrolled at the Ashburton High School when the girls' section of the school was opened in 1884. „ -tTTjiit. Born on the West Const. Mrs Wills was the elder daughter ot the late Mi Robert Alcorn, and was married to Mr Henry Wills in Ashburton about dU years' ago. She lived with her husband at Hinds, where ho was a prominent farmer for many years. Mr Wilis retired to Ashburton 10 or 12 years ago, and Mrs Wills has lived in the town ever since. . Very attached to the Methodist Church, Mrs Wttls took a keen interest in the affairs of the Willowby Circuit When at Hinds. 111-health prevented her active engagement in church wonc in Ashburton. although she maintained her interest in its welfare. Although of a retiring nature. Mrs Wills was highly inspected by all with whom she name' into contact. . Mr Wills predeceased his wife by three years, and since his death her health'has steadily become worse.
