PARACHUTE JUMP.
DESCENT OF FOUR MILES. RUSSIA CLAIMS RECORD. (United Press Association—Copyright). MOSCOW, October 11. M. Evseyev, senior pilot in the RedArmy's experimental branch, claims a world record for a delayed parachute jump. He leaped from a height of 23,400 ft and fell" for 1321 seconds, in which he descended 22,912 feet before opening his parachute. He says that the temperature when, he jumped was 60 degrees below zero'.
