FURTHER SIGNS IN BRITAIN. RAILWAY TRAFFIC INCREASES. MORE SHIPPING AT LIVERPOOL. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 14. Further indications of the recovery in trade is afforded in the railway traffic returns. During the last seven weeks the total receipts from four rail-way companies for all classes of transport have been £805,000 higher than those during the corresponding period of last year. The passenger traffic has risen by £530,000 and merchandise traffic by £409,000, while minerals have fallen by £134,000. The shipping returns show improvement during August. Last month 240 ships totalling 763,000 tons arrived at Liverpool, compared with 185 totalling 630,000 tons a year ago. The Board of Trade Gazette records a further slight increase in wholesale prices during August.—British Official Wireless.
