CHINESE HEAVILY FINED WELLINGTON. September 13. Jack Nam was fined £SO to-day lor permitting his premises, 21 Haining Street, to be used for the purpose of smoking opium and £5 for obstructing the police when they made a raid. The only other person found on the premises was a Chinese, who was.fined £l2 10s for being there to smoke opium.
