ROAD BOARD.
THE LONGBEACH DISTRICT The monthly meeting of the Longbeach Boad Board was held yesterday afternoon, when there were present: Messrs J. P. McQuilkin (chairman), W. J. Anderson, H. Watts, L. Maginness and A. Moore. The bank pass-book showed a credit of £593 2s 2d. The clerk (Mr A. Bushell) reported that he had supplied to the Public Works Department particulars of the work done by unemployed in the hoard's district for the six months ended June 30. The Coldstream Road Board wrote offering to increase its grant towards the bridge on Trig Pole Road by £5. The clerk reported that the Government subsidy on the rates, amounting to £125, had been received. He submitted a statement of the board's financial position, which was considered satisfactory.
