WRESTLING.
WALKER DEFEATS PATTERSON. (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, August 8. In a professional wrestling bout tonight George Walker beat Jack Patterson by one fall. The contest was strenuous and close, Patterson being the aggressor’ for most 'of the time. Walker caught him unawares with a crutch hold dump in round six securing a quick fall with a body press. Patterson made desperate efforts to even in the last two rounds, but was the more tired of the pair at the close.
