ACCIDENTS & DEATHS.
TWO MEN INJURED ON HEAD. (Special to the "Guardian.") WANGANUI, April 3. Suffering from injuries *to their heads, received by falling iron, two men, Mr Arthur French, aged 42, and Mr John Donnelly, aged 49, were admitted to the Wanganui Hospital during the week-end. The accident occurred at the 18-mile peg on the Parapara road. When a lorry of relief workers were about to move, a man flung a bundle, of pickheads from a bank 60 feet above them, and only a timely shout enabled the men to jump clear. The two injured men were struck as the pickheads Hurtled down the bank., FOUND SHOT IN WORKROOM ROTORUA, April_s. Mansell James Jones, aged 57, a taxidermist, was found shot this morning in his workroom. A double barrell gun was lyine beside the body. Jones had been in a depressed state of mind for some time. AN ENGINEER'S DEATH. (Per Press Association) NAPIER, April 5. A strong smell of gas attracted the attention of an employee of the Acetone Illuminating Welding Company, when he returned to work this 1 evening. Ho went to, the machine room to investigate., and found the dead body of the chief engineer of the works, Alan C. Dunn. It is nrTderstood that he left a. note expi-essing his intention of committing suicide^
