Following the recent settlement of the wages dispute in the weaving section cf the Lancashire cotton industry, manufacturers and operatives began a joint discussion of the proposal for more looms per weaver, left over from the general settlement. Failing agreement through the existing machinery the problem will come before a new conciliation body set up under the recent general agreement.—British Official Wireless.
