BEATEN TO DEATH IN BED.
NEGRO SERVANT SUSPECTED,

A murder which lias aroused attention throughout the nation occurred at Middleburg, Virginia, one of America’s most fashionable hunting centres, yesterday. Mrs Agnes Usley, the socially promieivt young widow 'of a well-known banker, and Mrs Mina Buckner, her elderly maid, were found beaten to death in their beds, presumably with an iron bootjack. The police are searching for a former negro servant, who Mrs Usley discharged a year ago.
