In the House of Commons, the Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Mr F. E. iPethick Lawrence) informed Sir Frederick Hall that Britain during the current year received £16,300,000 from German reparations and £17,700,000 from Allied debts, compared with £33,000,000 which Britain paid to the United States in respect to her war debt. Receipts from the Dominion during the same period' wore £7,632,000, which could not lie considoerd set off against the payments to America, because Britain borrowed money here on behalf of the Dominions.
