THE POSITION OF BRITAIN. ; 1 RECEIPTS AND PAYMENTS. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Dav, 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, March 12. In the House of Commons, the Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Mr F. E. iPethick Lawrence) informed Sir Frederick Hall that Britain during the current year received £16,300,000 from German reparations and £17,700,000 from Allied debts, compared with £33,000,000 which Britain paid to the United States in respect to her war debt. Receipts from the Dominion during the same period' wore £7,632,000, which could not lie considoerd set off against the payments to America, because Britain borrowed money here on behalf of the Dominions.
