TAX ON INCOMES.
NEW SOUTH WALES PROPOSAL. RATE NOT YET FIXED. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Government's scheme to impose a lew on wages and. salaries is estimated to return between £2,000,000 and £3,000,000 a year. It is not decided what the rate will be, but Ministers suggested that twopence or threepence in the pound be imposed, with a larger rate on larger salaries.
