INJURED IN CRASH

FRACTURE OF THE SKULL. ACCIDENT AT PORIRUA. WAR PILOT’S .SERIOUS STATE. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A Monocoupe crashed on Povirua mudflats to-day. The pilot, J. Cameron, suffered a fracture of the skull and jaw and left leg, and was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition. It appears that Cameron, who was a war pilot, was giving the owner of the machine,' O. Cotternl, of Lower Hutt, lessons in flying. The latter had been up several times during the morning, and Cameron, then, went up, had just done a stunt. His engine stalled, and the machine nose-dived into the soft earth. Great difficulty was experienced in getting Cameron out.
