THE WEATHER.
LIGHT FALL OF RAIN. A light fall of rain, the first for nearly three weeks, was experienced on on Saturday nTglit, 12 points being recorded yesterday morning. The weather yesterday was unpleasant, cold, dull conditions being interspersed with light showers of rain. A return to bright weather was experienced to-day. There were few clouds to obscure the sun’s rays, and the atmosphere was pleasantly warm. The reading of the barometer at 9 o’clock this morning was 29.92 -inches, compared with 30.13 yesterday. The extreme temperatures yesterday were 54.8 and 50.2 degrees, as against Cl and 50.8 degrees on * Saturday. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications are for northerly* winds, moderate, freshening. There is a prosuect of fair to cloudy weather, with scattered showers at times. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parts. Barometer falling slowly.
