CARS IN COLLISION.
WOMAN SUFFERS SHOCK. OTHER PASSENGERS UNINJURED. A collision between two mqtor-cars driven by Mr George Husband, of Ashburton, and Mr Hector A. Sim. of Carow, respectively, occurred at the intersection of Burnett and William Streets at 11=45 o’clock yesterday morning. Mr Sim, who was driving a. sedan, was accompanied by his mother, and wife and child. He was driving ease along Burnett Street when he collided with the car driven by Mr Husband and which was travelling south alonj) William Street. The occupants of the latter ear, in addition to the driver, were Messrs T. Husband and W. Hickey. The sedan was turned over and rested on its hood, with the wheels in the air. Mrs Sim, senior, was assisted from the car, suffering from bruises and shock, but the other occupants were not injured. Mrs Sim was not in the condition last evening to permit of an examination being made. The car was scratched and the body twisted, while the rear off mudguard was crumpled. Only one side-window was broken.
The passengers in the other ear were not injured, but extensive damage was done to the machine, the front axle and steering rods being bent and the headlights broken.
